I'm sorry to hear about your dad's passing. I too struggle with an unclear neurological disorder about which, after 10 years now, the doctors are more baffled than ever. I have just recently accepted that just because we have better technology today to look inside the human brain doesn't necessarily mean the doctors know what they're looking at. Your dad looks very much like a younger version of my dear 89 year old grandfather.. I haven't the heart to tell him about my plight lest he worry about things we can't change. The organization over which you currently preside introduced me to the wonderful adoptive parents of his only great, great grandchild whom he knows and loves.. seeing your post has made me think perhaps the time is near to tell him what we have done. I want to tell him that one thing that encouraged me to seek a whole and healthy family for this child was his faith and his unconditional love for us all, especially my late grandmother whom he has loved for more than 65 years. Perhaps I have been dishonest..I only pray my silence has been golden. This is one of the few times in my 47 years that I have felt it is sometimes better to ask for forgiveness than permission.
